Jazeera Airways to introduce new on-board meals every month

Freedom Town, Kuwait – August 29, 2011 — While most airlines change their on-board meal selections twice a year in line with their schedule changes, award-winning Jazeera Airways announced today that it is introducing a new on-board meal selection every month for both Business Class travelers and Economy Class travelers starting September 1.  The airline said the new food selections will always include a vegetarian option for its vegetarian travelers.

Jazeera Airways CEO Stefan Pichler said: “We want to keep our products and services fresh and innovative, so we are very excited about our monthly changing menus for Jazeera Business and Economy Class. I am sure all our guests will value the new menus, especially our frequent travelers, who have come to rely on Jazeera Airways’ efficient booking process and leading on-time performance.”

Pichler said: “Students, business travelers, and weekenders are all market segments that make up a large share of the business on our regional network.  Our goal is to always make their experience efficient, on-time, and enjoyable.  Changing Jazeera Airways’ on-board menu on a monthly basis is the latest value-boosting feature that will enhance the Jazeera Airways experience for all customers.”

In July, Jazeera Airways launched the early check-in feature, enabling travelers from Kuwait to check-in up to 24 hours prior to the their scheduled time of departure.  Earlier, the airline introduced a free baggage allowance of 40 kilograms for all passengers, free on-board meals in Economy Class and an ‘à la carte’ menu for Business Class guests.

As a result, Jazeera Airways now offers some of the Middle East’s best value-for-money fares for Economy Class and for Business Class travel.  Jazeera Airways’ Business Class offering includes a separate cabin for passengers, exclusive check-in counters, and business lounge access at airports.

Flying to 18 regional destinations, Jazeera Airways is the largest airline serving the region out of Kuwait according to the monthly market share figures issued by Kuwait’s Directorate General for Civil Aviation.

Jazeera Airways is an IATA member airline and operates one of the youngest Airbus A320 fleets in the Middle East.
