Jazeera Airways leads in on-time performance in the Middle East during 2013, as per FlightStats

Freedom Town, Kuwait, January 17, 2014: Jazeera Airways was ranked as the leader in on-time performance (OTP) against all other airlines in the Middle East during 2013, with a performance of 93.87%, as ranked by the independent US-based OTP tracker, FlightStats.

FlightStats Data sources include civil aviation authorities, airlines, airports, airline reservation systems and data aggregators. The report summarizes the data by carrier and includes a breakdown of on-time, late, very late and excessively late arrivals. Also included is the average delay for flights arriving more than 15 minutes late, the percentage of cancelled and diverted flights for over 170 of the world’s leading airlines.

Jazeera Airways recorded its highest OTP during the last quarter of the year with a performance of 95.34%. The last quarter included high traffic seasons of Eid Al Adha and the end of year holidays.

The airline’s OTP during the first quarter was 94.13%, 92.19% in the second quarter, and 93.82% OTP in the third quarter.
