Freedom Town, Kuwait, 20 November 2011: Award-winning airline Jazeera Airways, the largest airline serving the Middle East out of Kuwait, today issued its monthly operational performance report for September 2011, which showed that the airline has once again captured a leading market share on most of the routes it operates.

The September 2011 report showed that Jazeera Airways grabbed a leading market share to Alexandria, Assiut, Damascus, Luxor, Sharm El Sheikh and Sohag, putting it ahead of all other carriers operating the routes.  The airline was also the leading Kuwaiti operator to the majority of its destinations, including high-demand routes such as Beirut, Amman, Bahrain and Dubai.

The company secured the month-on-month lead in market share since July 2009 thanks to its expanding value offering to customers, great schedules, and operating at high on-time performance of 98% during the month, making the airline once again one of the most punctual airlines in the Middle East.

The today-issued report is based on data from Kuwait’s Directorate General for Civil Aviation (DGCA).  The report does not include the Kuwait-Jeddah and Kuwait-Riyadh routes, where the airline has lower seat-allocation restrictions compared to other Kuwaiti airlines.
