The company secured a month-on-month lead in market share since July 2009 thanks to its expanding value offering to customers, great schedules, and operating at high on-time performance of 95% during the month, making the airline one of the most punctual airlines in the Middle East.

The today-issued report is based on data from Kuwait’s Directorate General for Civil Aviation (DGCA).  The report does not include the Kuwait-Jeddah and Kuwait-Riyadh routes, where the airline has lower seat-allocation restrictions compared to other Kuwaiti airlines.

The report for May 2011 also includes the Kuwait-Cairo route launch on May 18.  Jazeera Airways grabbed an 11% market share during its two-week operation in May. The airline now operates 21 flights per week to the Egyptian capital since June 21.
