Jazeera Airways celebrates seventh anniversary and continued growth outlook

Freedom Town, Kuwait, 20 November 2012: Award-winning Jazeera Airways today celebrated its seventh anniversary with a continued aim to offer value-enhancing customer experience-boosting product, continued profitability and a groutlook to receive two new Airbus A320 aircraft in 2013.

Jazeera Airways CEO Stefan Pichler said, “The new deliveries will bring the total number of aircraft in our fleet to 14, which will be placed

the company has taken delivery of 12 Airbus A320s since 2005 out of an order of 15 aircraft of the same type. The company’s remaining three aircraft on order are scheduled for delivery in 2013 and 2014.

Our biggest highlight in the last year is our continued profitability which makes today, is the only profitable airline in Kuwait, and one of the very few profitable airlines in the Middle East. We also launched became the first airline to introduce scheduled passenger flights between Kuwait and an Iraqi city in over 22 years with the launch of non-stop flights between Kuwait and the Iraqi city of Al Najaf.“

In 2012, Jazeera Airways Group has earned a net profit of KD11.4 million in the first nine months of the year, which is an increase of 23.6% over 2011’s record nine-month net profit of KD9.2 million.

The Plan began yielding results immediately and above expectations. Just three months into the plan, Jazeera Airways Group closed its best performing quarter in history at the time by reporting a net profit of KD4.4 million for the third quarter of 2010.  The Group has been profitable ever since and closed 2011 with a net profit of KD10.6 million.  I

And it doesn’t stop here. Jazeera Airways also offers customers value-enhancing experience-boosting product thanks to a series of customer experience-boosting offerings rolled out in the last couple of years and the airline’s on-time performance which ranks first in the region.”

Jazeera Airways was ranked the highest in on-time performance (OTP) in the Middle East every month over the last two years, as measured by FlightStats, the US-based global OTP tracker. The airline’s OTP for October 2012 was 94%.

The airline offers travelers services and advantages that include the region’s biggest baggage allowance, online and self-check-in alternatives, its easy and gimmick-free frequent flier program “Jazeerati”, high-tech mobile booking options, easy-to-use online interfaces for booking and check-in, and an on-board duty free shopping service.
