Freedom Town, Kuwait, January 15, 2013: Jazeera Airways, the world’s leader in on-time performance as ranked by US-based FlightStats, today announced the 12 winners of its regional Facebook competition of the months of November and December 2012, as voted by the airline’s Facebook fans.
The airline had developed a dedicated and secure Facebook app that enabled photography enthusiasts to post their original photography, and then categorize it under the country where it was taken. Jazeera Airways Facebook fans voted for their favorite photography from 467 entries. The 12 photos most voted for are today featured in the airline’s 2013 calendar, each in a month.
Jazeera Airways Vice President of Sales, Rafik Boghdady, said: “Our first Facebook photo competition provided amateur and professional photographers with a platform to showcase breathtaking sceneries from the region to more than 49,000 Facebook fans. The competition was a close one and we thank every single participant for their great photo.”

Participants had to submit a proprietary photo that represents a scenery, landscape or landmark taken in one of the destinations that Jazeera Airways serves. Photos entered were subject to format, size and dimension requirements, and cannot represent people.
Jazeera Airways serves from Kuwait 19 popular destinations in the Middle East, including high-demand business, leisure, family, and weekend destinations such as Dubai, Bahrain, Beirut, Alexandria, Amman, Istanbul, Sharm El Sheikh, Luxor, Assiut, Sohag, Mashhad, Jeddah, Riyadh, Cairo and Al Najaf.
