Jazeera Airways and Lufthansa Technik extend Total Engine Support contract

  • 10-year contract signed in 2006 extended for an additional two years
  • Agreement comprises 13 CFM56-5B engines of A320 fleet

Le Bourget Air Show, France –- June 22, 2011 –- Award Winning Jazeera Airways and Lufthansa Technik AG, the leading provider for maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of airplanes, components and engines, have extended their existing 10-year Total Engine Support TES® contract signed in 2006 for an additional two years. The agreement comprises 13 CFM56-5B engines of the six Airbus A320 airplanes of Jazeera Airways’ fleet.

Chairman of Jazeera Airways Group, Marwan Boodai, said, “We’ve had a great working relationship with the Lufthansa Technik team since 2006. They have provided Jazeera Airways with great support and service through the years and we look forward to continue working with them for the years to come.”

The EMS® agreement is just one part of several services Lufthansa Technik is delivering to Jazeera Airways. In 2006, the partners signed a 10-year total technical support that includes Component Maintenance Services (CMS), Maintenance Management Services, and Reversers/Nacelles covered by Aircraft Related Components (ARC), as well as access to Lufthansa Technik’s component pool which covers more than 1000 components.
